Shamanism is the oldest spiritual healing practice on the Earth going back 30,000 years or more/longer. These ancient practices have been brought forward in a way that we can now benefit from them; learning to use these tools, which provide a greater sense of purpose, connecting us to a rich inner world. Listening to a shamanic drumbeat has been shown to decrease stress levels and enhance feelings of well-being. Reconnecting with nature and our heart, we begin to remember our own empowerment. We become more resilient in our day-to-day lives and may be better able to deal with stressful situations.

Learning how to do this work for ourselves gives us direct access to our own compassionate helping spirits. We are able to gain powerful insights into our lives as well as receive support and guidance. This is especially useful for problem-solving and unlocking answers to difficult personal questions. Our compassionate helping spirits are eager to work with us and assist us in our spiritual awakening. Meeting with our power animals, guardians, teachers, ancestors, and other helping spirits, we learn how to cultivate an ongoing and meaningful relationship with them.

During times of turbulence and chaos around us, the practice of shamanic journeying can give us a way to come back to center, finding a place of calm and peaceful refuge, receiving the guidance we need to create more confidence as we walk in our daily lives. We can come to know the Universe is deeply supporting us.

By learning to access altered states of awareness safely, listening to a specific drumbeat, we are able to journey in non-ordinary reality, which enables us to navigate the three shamanic realms known as the Lower, Middle, and Upper Worlds.
